What we collect
Unrust works without sign-up. On first open the app creates an anonymous account with a random ID and a generated player name. To give you a daily set and track your progress, our servers store that account together with your language, time zone, country (from your device region), chosen session length and interests, your puzzle answers and times, ratings for each puzzle type, streak, hints and streak freezes, and your notification and privacy settings.
You can link Apple, Google or an email address to keep your progress across devices. We then store the account ID that Apple or Google gives us, or your email address, so you can sign in again. We do not receive your Apple or Google password. Email sign-in uses a one-time code sent to your address.
If you use social features, we store your friend connections, friend requests, duel results and your place on daily and weekly leaderboards. Other players can see your player name, ratings and leaderboard results. You can turn competitive features off in Settings → Privacy to leave leaderboards and duels.
